YSAMIN McGANN

Ysamin was called to the bar in 2015, after graduating second in her class from the University of Buckingham, UK. Prior to joining Goldhart Law, Ysamin advocated on behalf of clients at a law firm in Toronto, where she gained extensive litigation experience in divorce and separation, decision-making, parenting time, support, property, and child protection proceedings.

Ysamin has appeared in Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice and although her practice is taking her to the courtroom often for conferences, motions and trials, she also uses alternative processes to reach agreements that are mutually beneficial for all parties involved.

During her career, she has dealt extensively in cases pertaining to equalization of net family property, child and spousal support, drafting of and advice on marriage contracts (pre-nuptial), separation agreements, cohabitation agreements, financial statements, court applications and written argument for litigation matters.

Ysamin is personable and very charming. This helps her to easily create a rapport with clients after just an initial consultation. She strives to explain the court process and options for clients in a simple straight and forward manner.

Ysamin understands that as a family lawyer, she often meets people at their lowest point in their life, and thus clients appreciate her compassionate approach. Ysamin hopes to include mediator and arbitrator as some of her qualifications in the near future.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her spouse and toddler, attending the theatre and travelling.
