Goldhart & Associates would like to welcome our new associate, Maneesha Mehra. Maneesha has joined firm in February 2015 after practicing at several boutique family law firms in Toronto. She was called to the bar in 2006 after articling with a full-service law firm. She has experience in civil litigation, but has been practising family law exclusively since January 2008.
Maneesha focuses on practical solutions to complex problems. Her practice involves all aspects of family law and she routinely provides clients with advice regarding custody and access, support, property division, marriage contracts, cohabitation agreements, divorce and inter-jurisdictional family law issues. In addition, Maneesha has experience with appellate work both at the Divisional Court and the Court of Appeal.
Maneesha recently appeared at the Court of Appeal in regards to an inter-jurisdictional dispute that raised interconnected issues of women’s autonomy, abortion rights, mobility and judicial deference among jurisdictions. The matter was litigated vigorously up to Leave to Appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada with success in preserving the client’s right to mobility and personal autonomy.
Maneesha has advocated on behalf of her clients at the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal of Ontario and at mediations and arbitrations.
We are glad to have an accomplished associate such as her on our team and look forward to working with her to help our clients achieve just resolutions.
